Mother's Day Part II--Oma

The Gang

The Thomspon/Malekian/Honeycutt Family enjoyed a wonderful Mother’s Day Celebration. Our first stop was the Baby Room at Lakeside Church in Folsom. This room is the bomb! It has a VIP suite vibe goin’ on with sound proof walls, plenty of seating, toys for the kids, a TV of the stage where parents can see and listen to the sermon, as well as a large, darkened window that looks straight into the auditorium. Mitch and I agreed we’d like to sit in there all the time, baby or no baby!

AB and Oma

Next on the agenda was Café Vinoteca for Mother’s Day Brunch. Oma is a big fan of this Italian Restaurant, so her kids (natural and in-law J) surprised her with a magnificent mama meal of Italian treats—savory and sweet. The food was molto bene! Ella especially enjoyed the blueberry muffins and the Pasta de Mare. She did a good job of keeping her mess to a minimum and loved being a big girl in her own booster seat. Mama C loved the onion tartlet and the lemon squares which I’m convinced were from Ettore’s, but Oma thinks they had a slightly different taste, so maybe not.

Oma was beaming all day long in the company of her big kids and little granddaughter. It was a wonderful day had by all! Happy Mother’s Day 2012, Oma!
