You betcha! EMC-WE BE 3- went to the North Natomas Library SactoMoFo event last night. Not only was Krush Burger truck there, but also a Hawaiian Shave Ice truck called, "Local Kine." Considering they use the correct Hawaiian term ("Shave" opposed to "Shaved") for this wonderful snowflake like concoction, and they had ice cream, haupia, snow cap, and lilikoi on their menu, we had some hope that it might be the real deal. And you know what? IT IS!!!! The ice was velvety soft on the tongue like little snowflakes are giving you oh so delicate kisses. The ice cream was served on the bottom, and the snow cap brought it all together. It was delightful! Although, it did make me miss Hawaii even more than usual.
Ella of course is a big fan of Hawaiian Shave Ice now!
