We started off the evening by enjoying a Papa Murphy's Jack O' Lantern pizza. (Thank you for the idea, Steph!). Next, Mama and Ella made Boo Cups out of chocolate pudding, crushed oreos, and Cool Whip. Yummy!
Next, it was costume time. (All 3 of us were dressed up). At first it took some convincing to get Ella to go out Trick or Treating, but once she got started, she was hooked! (Candy does that).
The absolute best part of the night is when Ella handed out candy. As soon as we would open the door, Ella would say, "Trick or Treat." The kids always looked dumbfounded. That's their line! After I would remind her that the person getting the candy asks "trick or treat" she would then say "thank you...welcome" after SHE put the candy in the bag. Again, the trick or treaters would look confused. Then she'd yell, "Happy Halloween! Bye Bye!!" There was lots of enthusiasm and yelling from Miss Ella. It was so fun to watch. Now, even though Halloween is long gone, she still says, "Trick or Treat" if she wants something sweet. She is such a character! We are so lucky to be blessed with her.
