I suppose I should write about something other than food, huh? Any who...
The Easter Bunny was generous to Ella (as usual). Her favorite gift appears to be the $1.00 Barbie Ice-Pack for boo-boos. Ella is under the impression that she needs ice for any ouchie (real or invented).
We missed the Easter egg hunt this year. Railtown was closed (they don't open until April 1st) so we went to Columbia. The weather was not cooperating this year, so we weren't sure if we would even make it. We did, but we were still a bit late, so either the hunt for Ella's age group was over, or we just didn't see it. Fortunately, after the saddest little parade I have ever seen, the Easter Bunny came out and gave Ella a carrot. At first, she seemed like she was going to chicken out on meeting him/her, but then she worked up some courage and said, "Hi!" Then, after a little prompting from mama, Ella thanked the Easter Bunny for her basket. After that, we were off to Round Table for Easter dinner. Yep, Round Table. Everything in the tiny towns of Jamestown and Sonora was closed or just not appetizing. We had a great time in Round Table though. Surprisingly, there were several families there too.
We really enjoy our Easters out of town with Nonni and Grumps. Nonni always dotes on all of us, giving Mitch and I a chance to be lazy. Plus, we hardly get to see Grumps anymore with his crazy work schedule, so it was nice just to see his face!
Thank you to Nonni and Grumps for all the good cooking and taking care of all of us. We love you!
