Mama C is officially a Rainbow Daycare Inc. Parent Board Member. I was voted in late last month. Out of the three or four interested parents, I was elected. YAY me! (If you wanna know the truth, I was the only one who showed up to both meetings and completed the letter of introduction, so I won by default. YAY just the same)!
My first order of business was to pick up four pizzas from Costco as well as a personalized cake for the Assistant Executive Director's retirement party. It was an easy peasy assignment and a nice party. I've also had to vote for things via email such as hiring the new Director and if we should pay someone an increase retroactively. It's fun so far. The only bad/good thing is that I am fully aware of everything going on at that daycare such as black widow infestations and rivalries amongst the teaching staff. Sometimes, ignorance is bliss. :)
